Some of the major highlights of the JEE Main 2024 are as follows:-

The National Testing Agency (NTA) was founded as a leading, Specialized , Independent and self sufficient testing agency in order to administer entrance exams for admission to higher educational institutions. Being an autonomous body. NTA will increase examination transparency. The dates for the competitive test will vary, giving students the flexibility to select the times that works best for them.

The JEE Apex Board (JAB) was formed by the ministry of education to set the Joint Entrance Exam Paper ( JEE Main). Candidates who will Qualify the JEE Main Exam will be considered eligible to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) examination for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technologies(IITs).

NTA has released JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2024 along with the official brochure at jeemain.nta.nic.in . JEE Main 2024 eligibility criteria will include information on the basic requirements that a candidates must meet in order to be eligible for the exam. It must be noted that there is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2024. As per the basic criteria, candidates who complete their 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry , Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects are eligible to sit for the test. The Eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2024 further states that ‘General Category’ candidates must secure atleast 75% marks in class 12 for admission to NITs , IITs and GFTIs , whereas ‘Reserved Category ‘ Candidate must obtain a minimum of 65% marks in class 12 for admissions to these prestigious institutes.

NTA has released the JEE Main Application 2024 for Session 2 at jeemain.nta.ac.in on February 2, 2024.To fill out the JEE Main application form 2024 , candidates must register on the NTA JEE Main 2024 Registration portal with a valid e-mail id and mobile number. They are required to upload scanned images of signatures, photos, educational documents, and related information in the recommended size and format . To avoid cancellation candidate must submit the required JEE Main 2024 Application Fee before the final submission. It is to be noted that all communication about the JEE Main 2024 exam shall be made via the registered mobile number or E-Mail ID.

While filling out the registration form for JEE Main 2024, candidates will have to upload a passport- size photograph and signatures .

Documents required for JEE Main 2024 application form should be kept ready for the successful application process. Some of the mandatory documents are scanned copies of images and signatures. The image has to be passport-size colored photograph. Apart from these scanned documents , certain certificates formats are mandatory to be filled and uploaded along with the application form.

JEE Main city Allotment slip 2024 for April Session will be released tentatively by the 3rd week of march. The JEE Main Advance city slip 2024 is a document that informs candidates of the city where they will be appearing for their JEE Main Exam 2024. IT Contains important details such as the examination Centre address and the date of the exam.

While the JEE Main 2024 Advanced city Intimation slip informs candidates about the city where they will be taking the exam , the JEE Main 2024 Hall Ticket is a more detailed document that contains all the essential information required for the exam including the candidates personal details and instructions.

NTA will release the JEE Main Admit card 2024 Session download link at jeemain.nta.nic.in on March 29, 2024 (tentative). Only those who successfully register for the NTA JEE Main 2024 will be issued the admit card. To obtain the JEE Main 2024 Hall Ticket , Students must utilize their JEE Mains 2024 login credentials – application form number and password.

JEE Main 2024 Admit Card will contain information about the national -level Entrance test such as the JEE Main test Centre address. JEE Main 2024 exam date and time , Personal Information , guidelines and more.

Candidates must carry their JEE Main Admit Card 2024 , as well as a piece of Valid ID evidence to the JEE test Centre. IT must be noted that Students shall not be allowed to enter the test venue unless they have a valid JEE Main 2024 Hall Ticket.

JEE Main will be held for two papers: Paper 1(B.E/B.Tech) , Paper 2A(B.Arch) and Paper 2B.(B.Planning) . There have been no major modification to the NTA JEE Main Exam Pattern 2024. The exam will be conducted in CBT mode for 3 hour. The JEE Main 2024 Exam will be available in 13 languages. The paper will contain MCQ and Numerical Type of Question. and for JEE Main 2024 Paper 2A and 2B. There will be a ‘Drawing ‘Section. In JEE Main, each right answer will carry 4 marks , while each incorrect answer will cost 1 mark(MCQ or numerical -based answer) .

Through the JEE Main Sample Papers , Candidates can better comprehend the types of questions presented in the paper and the format of the question. Candidates planning to take the JEE Main 2024 can start studying by looking at sample JEE Main test questions from previous year. They can improve their accuracy, efficiency, and time management abilities by identifying the weak areas.

It is advised for those planning to take the JEE Main Exam 2024 to practice by taking the JEE Main Mock Test 2024. They will have a thorough understanding of the difficulty level of the exam and questions likely to be asked with the help of mock Tests.

NTA will issue the exam day instruction for the JEE Main 2024 examination in the JEE Main 2024 Hall Ticket for all Candidates Appearing for the test.

Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates should reach the JEE Main 2024 exam Centre before the scheduled time to avoid last- minute rushes.

Candidate should bring their JEE Main Admit Card 2024 along with a valid ID proof such as Aadhar Card , Passport Voter ID , School ID/PAN / Driving License etc.

Candidate should not bring any electronic devices such as calculators , pagers, mobile phones or similar gadgets.

Candidates claiming relaxation must carry a PwD certificate.

The JEE Main Cutoff 2024 will be released by NTA after the announcement of the JEE Main 2024 result . The minimum marks required by the candidates to participate in further admissions round of JEE Main 2024 are referred to as the JEE Main Cutoff 2024. JEE Main 2024 expected cutoff is 90 for the general category , 80 for the EWS category , 56 for SC students , 76 for OBC -NCL Students and 47 for ST category Students. The Cutoff plays a vital role in getting admission into participating colleges accepting JEE Main Scores. Candidates who will meet the JEE Main cutoff shall only be eligible for further admission rounds.

The JOSA Seat Allotment 2024 will be conducted after each round of JEE Main 2024 Counselling. The Counselling and Seat Allotment process of JEE Main is carried out subsequently. The JEE Main Seat Allotment 2024 will take place in multiple rounds. Before the beginning of the first round of the seat allotment process. The JOSAA official will conduct a mock allotment round to familiarize the candidates with the seat allocation process of JEE Main 2024.
